Can a txt file be used for subtitles?

Postby Plextor » Sun Aug 10, 2008 9:25 pm

Hi guys,
Total newbie here, so bare with me:
I have a txt file with subtitles I've done for a movie project. The movie is ready and on dvd, but I have to insert the subtitles from this txt file.
How do I go about doing this?

I've tried reading some tutorials, but am kind of overwhelmed by the many softwares and different terms.
Please forgive my ignorance :)
Any input greatly appreciated.

if you want draw subtitle directly on a video frame, i can advise you try to use VideoCharge Studio.

Tool allows:

1. Use Text file to draw text on video frame. In case text file will split into lines, every line will draw on video frame with some delay

2. Use SRT file. The srt file contained information about time when text will draw. You can make SRT file from TXT and use in VideoCharge Studio!
